ROBERT ANDREWS

Robert Andrews earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at Hastings, a liberal arts college in

Hastings, Neb., where he also cultivated his leadership skills. In addition to playing

quarterback for the football team, he served as president of the Multicultural Student Union and co-chair of the Team Against Bias and was known as a social reformer. By actively changing the level of diversity and implementing more programs for those who were underrepresented, Rob helped to get more funding for programs and to reinstitute the multicultural fraternity Tau Beta Alpha. Rob also aided in executing a plan that would help recruit students from all over the world.

After graduating from Hastings with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in

religion, Rob played for the Calgary Stampeders in the Canadian Football League. Rob

quickly realized, however, that he had a different calling – to serve his community and put

into practice the leadership skills he had developed at Hastings.

Rob worked as the Obama campaign’s field organizer for the south side of Colorado

Springs. Rob has served on several boards and commission, such as the Judicial

Performance Commission, Colorado Springs Pride Center, Armed Services YMCA,

Southern Colorado Black Barber Association, African-American Voice Juneteenth Festival,

and the El Pomar Black Advisory Council. He is also a published author/serial social

entrepreneur, managing several very successful businesses such as EZ E85, One Voice

Coalition Inc., the Colorado Charge, Ivy League Noir, Social Entrepreneur Leadership

Federation (SELF), and Arcade Exchange.
